Landscape of Asturias
Asturias presents to tourist a landscape full of charm.
In the eastern Asturian walk the beaches of Llanes and Ribadesella near the Sierra del Sueve;
National Park Picos de Europa from Amieva to Cangas de Onis and Peñamellera, Onis and Cabrales.
Picos de Europa is the first National Park in Spain since 1918, being known as the Parque de la Montaņa de Covadonga.
The variety of plants and animals is very important, deer, wild boar, chamois, and a huge number
of bird species that has become this national park in Asturias sighting renowned as the best guides.
Beaches
The entire east coast is made up of beaches and cliffs, Villaviciosa, Colunga, Ribadesella,
Llanes and Ribadedeva landscape and offer an impressive and varied environment.
The vagaries of nature have managed to show picturesque places as Gulpiyuri the buffoons of Llanes,
Barro beaches, Niembro, La Franca, Poo, Celorio, Torimbia, etc.
Prehistoric Caves
If something striking in this region of Asturias is the number of caves with strong presence of prehistoric traces .
The most important (Tito Bustillo - Ribadesella, the Pindal - Ribadedeva, Llonin - Peñamellera Alta,
la Peņa - Candamo, La Covaciella - Cabrales) recently incorporated into the UNESCO World Heritage,
and others joining Altamira, in Spain as a benchmark. . .
Are also being studied as the other caves like Sidron in Piloña or El Buxu en Cangas de Onis,
which will enrich the information about the culture and habits of the Magdalenian period.
